How I work

What you can expect when you work with me.

Step 1. Say g’day

Book in a free 15-minute call (Zoom or Skype). I’ll send you a brief to fill out before our call.
In our virtual meeting, we’ll:
● go over the brief, where we talk about your goals and needs
● see if we’re a great fit
If I’m confident I can help, you’ll get a proposal within 24 business hours, detailing the deliverables, timeline and a quote for the project.
You get: a sense of what working with me is like and if I’m the right copywriter for you.

Step 2. Proposal Approval

If you’re happy with the proposal, I’ll send you an invoice for the 50% initial payment*. 
The project is locked into my calendar once the proposal is signed and the invoice is paid.
You get: a project kick-off date, a clear sense of what you’ll get and a new member (and champion) of your team.

Step 3. Research + Write

To kick off the project, we meet (online) for a 60-min strategy workshop, where:
● we go over the brief in more detail
● we discuss your brand personality so we can nail your tone of voice
● I ask lots of questions to get more clarity on your brand and offering
Research + Wireframe + Write
Once I understand your:
● service or product
● audience and their pain points
● competitors
I’ll create a wireframe for your website before I start writing.
You get: a first draft with a wireframe that shows you how the copy works on each section of every page.

Step 4. Tweak it

I talk you through the first draft via Skype or video.
I’ll then send you the first draft in a developer-friendly copy deck.
You give me honest feedback (I can take it – I’m practically German, remember?) so I can tweak the copy to your liking.
You get: two rounds of amends without a copywriter-centric attitude.

Step 5. Sign-off and launch

Once you receive your final draft, I’ll ask you to sign a project sign-off document.
When I receive the final 50% payment, the copyright is transferred to you.
You get: launch-ready copy and a reason to pop open the champagne to celebrate.
